Mechanical Engineer

Location: Tech Center Building G, Caterpillar
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Experience: 2–4 years (Not more than 4 yrs)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering

• Support electric drive component and system testing.
• Create test plans and prepare test equipment/DUTs.
• Install instrumentation and execute performance and durability tests.
• Analyze test data and summarize results.
• Troubleshoot issues with test stands, controls, and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with design, controls, simulation, and other engineering teams.
• Lead weekly project update meetings and prepare technical presentations.
• Spend approximately 70% of the time in the lab and 30% at a desk.

1. Previous testing experience
2. Product development experience
3. Mechanical system troubleshooting

Preferred: DEWESoft DAS or CANape experience.

Best-fit backgrounds: Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineer, Product Development Engineer, or an Engineer with hands-on lab testing and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
