Payroll/Accounting Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a company near Waukegan with a search for a Payroll/Accounts Payable Specialist. This role in onsite and direct hire/permanent. Key Responsibilities

Payroll

• Review and enter data for payroll processing
• Enter and validate payroll data for accuracy
• Manage payroll taxes
• Prepare union and payroll reports
• Process new hire information
• Support monthly payroll audits
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies

Accounts Payable

• Process invoices received electronically
• Track vendor statements
• Coordinate invoice approvals and coding
• Check runs
• Handle employee expenses and process for payment

HR Support

• Assist with employee onboarding
• Support benefits administration and annual renewals
• Provide general HR-related administrative assistance

Salary: $55K-$60K

Required:

• Strong payroll experience is required
• Comfortable working with Excel formulas and look ups
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to research and resolve discrepancies independently
• Detail-oriented and process-driven
• Union payroll experience is a plus
• Open to identifying process improvements xevrcyc and efficiencies
