Title: Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

Location: Herndon VA - hybrid 3 days in office

Compensation:$200-230K + Bonus (depending on experience)

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting for an opportunity with one of our clients. This role will oversee financial reporting, support technical accounting matters, and ensure accurate, timely financial statements. An active CPA and experience within a financial institution, bank, or government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee quarterly and annual external reporting, including applicable SEC and regulatory filings.
• Research complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memoranda.
• Assess new accounting standards and lead implementation efforts.
• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and other teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support financial statement audits.
• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and improve reporting processes.
• Manage and develop financial reporting team members.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Financial institution, banking, or GSE experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statement disclosures, and technical accounting.
• Experience with SEC reporting and/or regulatory reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
