  • Conduct or oversee workplace investigations with fairness, confidentiality, and thorough documentation
  • Promote a positive, inclusive culture; handle employee concerns promptly and professionally

  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting for year-round and seasonal staff, including high-volume youth-development hiring
  • Ensure all hires complete required background checks and child-safety screening before working with youth
  • Maintain an onboarding and orientation program that prepares new staff for success and safe youth practices

Performance & Development

  • Manage the annual performance review cycle and support managers in goal-setting and feedback
  • Identify training needs and coordinate required and professional-development training (e.g., child safety, mandated reporting, supervisor skills)

People Programs, Policies & HR Coordination

  • Develop and maintain people programs, employee handbook content, HR policies, and job descriptions at the direction of the CHRO
  • Administer HR practices in alignment with CHRO guidance and applicable federal, Washington State, and local employment requirements
  • Coordinate HR systems use and personnel recordkeeping in partnership with HR operations roles, supporting accurate data, confidentiality, and proper retention
  • Track and report HR program metrics such as turnover, time-to-fill, retention, and program completion to inform CHRO and leadership decisions

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with HR operations, payroll, and benefits partners to support accurate new-hire, change, and termination data flows
  • Refer payroll, benefits, compliance, and HRIS ownership questions to the appropriate partner while coordinating follow-through for employees and managers
  • Collaborate with the CHRO and leadership on workforce planning, implementation of people programs, compensation structure support, and organizational change
