Senior Manager of Business Development - Leveraged and Real Estate Finance and Restructuring

In this role you drive strategic BD for Leveraged Finance, Real Estate Finance, and Restructuring, leading a cross-office team to generate profitable new business from existing and target clients. You partner with lawyers and management to shape nationwide and international marketing strategies, manage firmwide initiatives, and mentor a dedicated BD team. You will integrate lateral partners, push for high-profile recognitions, and coordinate proposals, events, and media exposure. This is a high-impact, leadership role in a dynamic, client-focused firm.

• Lead development and execution of marketing/BD strategies nationally and internationally
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities with cross-collaboration and client-target teams
• Serve as BD lead on firmwide initiatives and report progress to leadership
• Counsel lawyers on BD best practices and market strategies
• Conduct market research and leverage Competitive Intelligence for opportunities
• Manage and mentor a dedicated marketing team supporting designated groups
• Facilitate lateral partner integration with focus on target priorities
• Promote lawyers/clients through awards, recognition, and rankings
• Supervise projects, RFPs/proposals, pitch opportunities, and directory submissions with QA
• Coordinate with Public Relations/Media and Social Media for exposure
• Develop and manage the BD budget for designated sections and offices
• Other related duties as needed

• 10+ years in marketing, business development, or related field
• Law firm or professional services experience preferred
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal communication
• Strong organization, multitasking, and deadline management
• High work ethic with a sense of humor and client-service mindset
• Ability to mentor staff and guide career progression
• Urgency, attention to detail, and time management
• Strong computer proficiency with InterAction, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with BI and competitive tools
