Finance Director - Workday ERP Transformation

In this role you will lead the Workday Financial Management transformation within Guidehouse finance. You will shape target and transition architectures, drive end-to-end Workday design, and ensure alignment with business processes and controls. You'll collaborate across Finance, IT, Data, and operations to enable scalable, compliant deployment and optimization. The position offers high visibility and an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide finance architecture and reporting. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver a transformative ERP program that supports close, reporting, and controls at scale.

• Lead finance architecture for the transition to Workday Financial Management, including target-state and post-deployment design
• Oversee end-to-end Workday solution design across modules (GL, revenue, procurement, budgeting, reporting, analytics)
• Translate financial strategy and controls into scalable Workday configurations
• Assess current environment (COA, master data, interfaces, reports) and plan disposition of capabilities
• Own data conversion strategy (profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, cutover, validation)
• Provide architectural oversight for integrations and related systems
• Establish design principles, governance, and controls for consistency across workstreams
• Lead design reviews and address ERP issues related to security, data quality, and compliance
• Guide testing, cutover planning, deployment readiness, and stabilization
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage scope, risks, milestones, and deliverables
• Develop post-implementation operating model and ongoing improvement roadmap

• 12+ years in finance, ERP, and transformation programs with leadership of complex implementations
• Deep Workday Financials expertise (architecture, configuration, security, reporting, integrations)
• Workday ERP background with strong understanding of finance processes and data structures
• Workday Financial Management certifications or equivalent credentials
• Experience transitioning from legacy ERPs (e.g., PeopleSoft) to Workday, including data conversion and integration
• Broad ERP knowledge across accounting, planning, revenue, procure-to-pay, payroll, taxes, master data, controls
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and data governance
• Proven cross-functional design leadership, architecture reviews, and executive communication
