Business Intelligence Analyst - Snowflake, Databricks, SSRS

As a BI Analyst in Elsevier Healthcare Education, you will design and enhance Trade and Commercial reporting using Snowflake, Tableau, and related BI tools. You'll partner with commercial, analytics, technology, and senior stakeholders to modernize reporting, improve quality, and deliver scalable BI solutions that inform decision-making. You'll convert legacy Excel workflows into automated dashboards and support data migrations while validating outputs. • Own the development and enhancement of Trade and Commercial Reporting solutions across Snowflake, Tableau, and related BI environments
• Apply AI tools to improve analysis, documentation, workflow efficiency, and reporting development
• Convert legacy manual reporting workflows (e.g., Excel) into scalable dashboards and automated solutions
• Support reporting migrations by translating legacy queries and rules into new data warehouse environments
• Validate reporting outputs across legacy and new environments for accuracy and alignment with business definitions
• Partner with commercial stakeholders, including senior and VP-level audiences, to gather requirements and deliver actionable reporting outputs
• Investigate data discrepancies, perform quality checks, and coordinate resolution with business and technical partners
• Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data definitions, query logic, migration mappings, and technical workflows
• Manage multiple reporting priorities and stakeholder requests with strong attention to detail and limited oversight

• 3+ years of hands-on SQL experience using Snowflake, Databricks, SSRS, or similar data platforms
• 3+ years of experience developing dashboards and reports in BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms
• Experience converting manual or legacy reporting workflows into automated BI, dashboard, or reporting solutions
• Experience translating reporting logic, SQL queries, or business rules across systems, data warehouses, or reporting platforms
• Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into technical specifications, reporting logic, or dashboard solutions
• Proven ability to validate data, investigate discrepancies, and ensure reporting accuracy
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and their applications
