Building Engineering Services Area Business Group Manager

As Area Business Group Manager for HDR's Building Engineering Services in Central Texas, you will lead a multidisciplinary design team across structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and related disciplines. You will drive growth, ensure quality, and align project delivery with HDR's mission to enable innovation and sustainability in the built environment. You will mentor staff, influence proposals and client engagement, and manage area programs, budgets, and performance. This role offers cross-market impact and the opportunity to shape regional design strategy while delivering high-quality projects.

• Lead and grow a high-performing, multi-discipline design team across Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Control Systems, Fire Protection, and BIM
• Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Support company policies, mentor technical staff, contribute to planning, proposals, and client engagement
• Drive project impact across diverse markets and manage program development strategies, new business prospects, and standards
• Develop and maintain an effective area business group program, including annual revenue forecasts and budgets
• Monitor performance of the business group and identify/win projects aligned with staff development goals
• Serve as Project Manager, Program Manager, or Principal-In-Charge as applicable
• Collaborate with regional and national leaders to align strategy, support marketing, and drive growth
• Perform other duties as needed

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams
