Finance Manager, Commodities

In this role you will lead accounting and reconciliation for commodities positions, ensuring accurate NAV and financial reporting for commodity portfolios. You will collaborate with trading, operations, risk, and other finance teams to provide expert accounting support, while upholding GAAP and IFRS and regulatory requirements. You will drive process improvements through automation and stronger controls, and act as the commodities accounting subject matter expert on cross-functional initiatives. This is a hands-on, in-office opportunity to shape performance analysis and reporting in a hedge fund/asset management context.

• Oversee accounting and reconciliation of commodities transactions (futures, options, swaps, physical positions)
• Prepare and review NAV calculations and financial reporting for commodities portfolios
• Partner with trading, operations, and counterparties to resolve trade/reconciliation discrepancies
• Analyze portfolio activity, valuations, and market movements for accurate reporting and performance analysis
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Finance to provide accounting guidance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare audit support, reconciliations, and documentation for audits
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation and controls
• Monitor complex commodities transactions and provide technical accounting support for new products/strategies
• Serve as accounting subject matter expert for commodities portfolios and support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects

• 10+ years private fund accounting experience supporting a commodities pod or Geneva experience
• Previous hedge fund/asset management/commodities trading environment desirable
• Proficiency in fund accounting systems
