Head of Business Development & Field Marketing - Semiconductor Mask Shop & Metrology

In this role you will drive regional growth for ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Solutions by building strong customer partnerships, translating needs into product strategy, and leading the BD & Field Marketing function. You will serve as the regional link between customers, local teams, and SMS HQ to enable new solutions and long-term growth. You'll establish the BD & Field Marketing group, lead cross-functional initiatives from evaluation to commercialization, and build the team and processes to expand the SMS portfolio. This is a strategic, impact-focused leadership role at the intersection of technology, marketing, and customer success.

• Serve as the primary customer interface for SMS and strengthen strategic relationships
• Identify and develop regional business opportunities, partnerships, and joint development projects
• Translate customer challenges into opportunities for ZEISS SMS products and collaborations
• Monitor regional trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to inform strategy
• Lead solution development and new product introductions, coordinating regional launches
• Manage BD and NPI projects from opportunity to commercialization and repeat business
• Collaborate with Applications, Sales, Service, and SMS HQ to drive product launches and adoption
• Lead the establishment and development of the BD & Field Marketing function, defining structure and KPIs

• 10+ years of technical and commercial experience in Semiconductor Mask Solutions (SMS) and mask shop ecosystem
• Established industry relationships and direct experience in photomask manufacturing, metrology, repair, wafer inspection, or front-end integration/yield engineering
• Proven track record of co-developing and launching products with customers through strategic partnerships
• Strong ability to gather and communicate customer, market, and competitive insights to cross-functional stakeholders
• In-depth knowledge of SMS market, mask shop ecosystem, processes, and regulatory requirements
• Strong customer orientation and stakeholder management with cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English
• PhD and/or MBA is preferred
