As Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst on the Deal Tooling and Insights team at AWS, you translate ambiguous business problems into data-driven solutions that enable strategic decisions. You collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and internal customers to drive adoption, engagement, and growth through actionable analytics. You work with large data warehouses to develop insights beyond basic reporting, leveraging scalable and cloud-based BI approaches. You help shape agentic capabilities that automate and accelerate analytics, contributing to an AI-native era. This role combines technical rigor with business acumen to impact leadership decisions and operational efficiency.

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and models to derive key business metrics from large, complex datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and onboard new data sources that expand analytical coverage.
• Create new metrics to measure the health of the business and support business strategy.
• Drive development of data enrichment tools and self-service reporting to scale reporting processes.
• Conduct deep dive analyses and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Communicate complex analytical results clearly and drive toward simple, scalable solutions.
• Build and adopt agentic capabilities to automate and accelerate analytical work, from reports to on-demand questions.

• 10+ years of professional or military experience
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
