Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a driven, energetic, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to develop design solutions that meet customer needs and support reliable, cost-effective products. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this role takes projects from concept through completion, including specification, design, documentation, testing, and proposal presentations. The position also provides continuous engineering support for existing products, with primarily internal collaboration and a growth path to Senior Mechanical Engineer. The role includes a yearly profit share plan, paid out in the last four of five years, including 22% of base and overtime wages in 2024 and 2025. Starting salary is based on degree and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design solutions from conceptual stage through completion.
• Create specifications, designs, drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Perform and document mechanical calculations and finite element analyses.
• Support testing, fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of products and systems.
• Release engineering documentation and maintain support for existing products.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and product innovation initiatives.
• Apply sound engineering design principles to deliver reliable, cost-effective products.
• Present proposals and coordinate engineering activities under the direction of the Engineering Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical design, mechanical drafting, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of machine design and mechanical power transmission.
• Ability to perform and document mechanical calculations and finite element analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five or more years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience designing and constructing large electromechanical equipment.
• Experience designing weldments and heavy structural systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
