Job Description Job Description Make a difference in the lives of students as a General Education and ESL Teacher in the vibrant New Orleans area. This full-time contract role offers the unique opportunity to support language learners and foster academic growth in a dynamic school setting. Collaborate with dedicated educators to deliver meaningful instruction, help close achievement gaps, and empower students to reach their full potential. Qualifications and Experience Sought: Possession of an active Louisiana DOE teaching certificate (required); candidates with TAT or TA will not be considered Demonstrated experience or certification in General Education and/or ESL instruction Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and engage with diverse student populations Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction abilities Willingness to comply with district-specific credentialing, including drug screen and fingerprinting Anticipated Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lessons to elementary or secondary students in general education and ESL settings (age groups and caseloads to be determined) Use data-driven instructional techniques to address varied learning needs, particularly for English language learners Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and fellow educators to track student progress Develop lesson plans in line with school and district curriculum standards Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes academic and personal growth The Assignment: Contract position beginning as soon as possible and lasting through the school year’s end (May 27, 2027) Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, per school calendar School assignments and specific caseloads will be determined during the onboarding process This is an excellent opportunity for credentialed teachers ready to make an immediate impact.
