Job Description Clinical Physician Executive - Pulm/CC opening in Winston-Salem, NCLocated in Winston-Salem, NC – Greensboro 30mFull-time; PermanentEmployedClinical Leadership & PracticeSeeking BC Critical Care and/or Pulmonary Medicine Physician Overview:* Physician executive opportunity providing strategic, clinical and operational leadership for Critical Care and inpatient/outpatient Pulmonary services across a multi-hospital regional network* Position combines clinical practice with physician leadership responsibilities* Lead development and execution of regional strategy, operational priorities and program growth initiatives* Oversee quality, patient safety, patient experience and clinical outcome improvement efforts* Develop and implement evidence-based best practices and standardized care models* Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy and administrative leadership to optimize care delivery and transitions* Lead operational excellence, resource utilization, throughput, capacity management and performance improvement initiatives* Support physician recruitment, retention, engagement and professional development* Lead regional provider meetings and promote collaboration across Critical Care and Pulmonary teams* Seeking MD/DO with fellowship training in Pulmonary/Critical Care or Internal Medicine/Critical Care and board certification in Critical Care and/or Pulmonary Medicine* Requires 5 years of ICU Medical Director experience with multidisciplinary team leadership, quality/safety initiatives, committee leadership, throughput/capacity management and Sepsis program involvement* Preferred experience includes ECMO, Cardiac Critical Care, Advanced Bronchoscopy, Tele-ICU, clinical research and outpatient Pulmonary Medicine* MBA, MHA or MPH preferred but not required Group/Facility Info:* Regional network consists of 5 hospitals, including a tertiary referral center and 4 community-based hospitals* Closed ICU model with Intensivists and multidisciplinary teams* Integrated Critical Care and Pulmonary services spanning both community and tertiary-care settings* Access to coordinated specialty support and advanced clinical resources throughout the regional network* Leadership role offers the opportunity to shape regional Critical Care and Pulmonary strategy, clinical care models and program growth About the Area:Winston-Salem is part of North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad and offers a combination of urban amenities and a more manageable mid-sized-city environment.
