Position Overview:

• Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an immediate opening in Columbus, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to join an engineering team that delivers diverse and technically challenging engineering solutions for building construction.

In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical building systems while ensuring compliance with applicable local and national codes and regulations to protect public health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and support mechanical systems for commercial and building construction projects, including:

• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems

• Pumping and piping systems

• Mechanical control systems

• Plumbing systems

• Fire protection systems

• Interpret and apply applicable local and national building codes, standards, and regulations.

• Collaborate with engineering colleagues and other project stakeholders to develop effective design solutions.

• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

• Participate in client meetings and represent the company professionally.

• Contribute to a collaborative work environment focused on continuous improvement, technical development, and project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with coursework in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, or a bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant professional experience in HVAC and/or plumbing engineering.

• 3-7 years of relevant engineering experience.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or a demonstrated interest in pursuing professional engineering registration.

• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Professional interpersonal skills and confidence participating in client meetings.

• Willingness to learn new skills and pursue continuous professional development.

• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
