Senior Director Finance and Investment Banking Career Pathways

In this role you will lead the strategy and execution of Vanderbilt's finance and investment banking career pathway. You'll align advising, experiential learning, and employer engagement to prepare students for competitive finance careers and strong industry partnerships. You will collaborate across faculties, alumni networks, and employer relations to expand internships, industry projects, and full-time opportunities, while aligning programs with recruiting timelines. This is a mission-driven, cross-campus leadership role that uses data and AI-enabled tools to continuously improve student outcomes and employer satisfaction. • Lead finance and investment banking pathway strategy and milestone-driven preparation models
• Identify priority employer targets and deepen partnerships with leading finance firms
• Ensure alignment of advising, experiential learning, and employer engagement within the pathway
• Cultivate relationships with finance employers and alumni to expand internships and full-time opportunities
• Oversee development of experiential learning opportunities (treks, industry projects, employer-connected programs)
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate finance-focused experiential learning into the broader curriculum
• Direct a team of student advisers for finance career readiness
• Partner with Academic and Student Organizations to strengthen the finance talent pipeline
• Develop metrics to track engagement, learning experiences, and placement outcomes
• Use labor market data to inform pathway strategy and program development

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8-10 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in finance, investment banking, asset management, or consulting
• Experience developing employer partnerships, alumni networks, or experiential learning initiatives
• Proven leadership in managing teams or complex programs
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills
• Familiarity with undergraduate recruiting timelines and competitive finance hiring processes
