Vice President, Project Finance Portfolio Manager

In this role you will oversee a credit portfolio focused on Project Finance and Leveraged Lending, supporting MUFG's market-leading practice across power/renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and digital infrastructure. You will lead cross functional coordination with stakeholders and monitor risk through regular credit reviews and renewals. Based in NYC with a hybrid schedule, you'll help ensure regulatory compliance and drive effective asset management. • Oversee a credit portfolio of Project Finance and Leveraged Lending Loans
• Conduct ongoing credit reviews to assign ratings and monitor Problem Loans and Watch List accounts
• Lead the bank group in deals where MUFG is Administrative Agent; coordinate with Counsel, Independent Engineer, Sponsor, Collateral Agent, Depositary Bank, Tax Equity Investor, etc.
• Perform site visits and participate in bank/customer meetings
• Communicate critical account information to internal and external stakeholders across multiple groups
• Monitor maturities and coordinate renewals of loans/credit lines
• Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies

• Experience analyzing/supporting project finance credits in financial institutions or similar risk-related functions
• Credit experience in aviation finance or other structured finance (securitization, leasing) is a plus
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and risk management
• Ability to work with complex financial models to assess repayment ability
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, loan documentation, and credit/structural risks
• Strong communication skills to lead large groups of lenders and sponsors
• Familiarity with U.S. regulatory environment (OCC, FRB); knowledge of Japan (FSA, BOJ) is a plus
• Administrative agency and/or workout experience is a plus
• BA or BS required; MBA preferred
