Project Finance Manager- Power Station

In this role you will secure funding and incentives to advance Gotion Illinois New Energy's clean energy manufacturing and storage initiatives. You'll work with legal, finance, and project teams to translate strategy into compelling investment proposals and grant applications. You'll build relationships with investors, government agencies, and economic development partners to accelerate BESS, EV charging, and related projects. This position offers a chance to shape funding strategy in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.

• base salary $155,000.00 - $220,000.00

• Identify and pursue equity, debt, and project finance opportunities for BESS, solar, EV charging, and backup power projects
• Cultivate relationships with institutional investors, private equity, clean energy funds, DFIs, and strategic partners
• Support structuring of investment vehicles (SPVs, joint ventures) for energy storage and clean energy projects
• Prepare investment materials and due diligence documents for potential investors and financing partners
• Monitor financing market trends, tax equity structures, and new investment vehicles in clean energy assets
• Lead identification and management of federal/state grant programs (DOE, IRA, CHIPS Act, EPA, EDA, SBA) across lifecycle
• Coordinate grant compliance, reporting, and closeout with legal and finance teams
• Identify and apply for federal/state tax incentives (ITC, PTC, manufacturing credits) and ensure FEOC compliance
• Engage with federal/state agencies and elected officials to advance funding priorities
• Support government relations and legislative advocacy for clean energy manufacturing and deployment
• Collaborate with Market Management on sales and business development, identifying funding mechanisms for customers
• Contribute to development of VPP, peak shaving, and community solar business models through funding strategies
• Assist in preparing strategic advisory materials for customers evaluating clean energy investments

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5+ years in government grant management, energy project finance, commercial banking, business development, economic development, or strategic partnerships
• Proven ability to identify and secure funding, capital, or opportunities
• Strong relationship-building skills with government, financial institutions, officials, investors, or stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication for proposals, presentations, and applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
