Director, Associate General Counsel; Business & Human Rights

As Director, you will lead Cisco's global human rights program, shaping governance and due diligence at scale. You will manage the Business and Human Rights team and partner across Legal, Supply Chain, and other functions to embed standards into the business. The role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to present to senior executives on complex risk and regulatory topics. You'll drive scalable processes to identify, assess, and mitigate human rights risks, contributing to Cisco's compliance and strategic objectives.

• Lead and evolve the enterprise-wide human rights program and strategies to adapt to regulatory changes
• Oversee a cross-functional team responsible for developing and embedding human rights standards
• Advise senior leaders on emerging risks and regulatory developments
• Drive and scale due diligence processes and risk monitoring across the business
• Collaborate with Legal, Supply Chain, Procurement, and global functions to operationalize standards
• Identify opportunities to enhance due diligence programs and scalable processes

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent experience in compliance
• 10+ years designing, executing, and scaling Business and Human Rights programs in a multinational technology company
• Strong leadership with a track record of motivating and developing teams
• Experience engaging with regulators, external partners, industry groups, and customers
• Proficiency in using technology/AI to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills for business and legal audiences
