Director Finance AI & Data Governance

As Director, Finance AI and Data Governance, you will lead a Finance-wide AI transformation by building trusted data foundations and scalable AI capabilities. You will define the Finance AI strategy, operating model, and governance, partnering with Enterprise AI, IT, and Finance leadership to deliver measurable value. You will establish and govern data, semantic models, and AI agents to enable accurate planning and reporting. This role centers on scaling AI-driven transformation within Finance and creating a central, high-performing AI and data team. • Own the Finance AI and data transformation roadmap aligned with the Finance vision.
• Translate Finance strategy into a prioritized AI and data initiative portfolio.
• Establish Finance data governance policies for trusted, high-quality data.
• Lead governance forums for definitions, quality, lineage, and access controls.
• Own the Finance semantic layer and metric framework across reporting, analytics, and AI agents.
• Define certification, release, version control, and change-management for the semantic layer.
• Create playbooks for Finance AI agents covering grounding, orchestration, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Enable centralized execution model for democratized AI development within Finance.
• Set accuracy thresholds, human oversight, risk controls, and production support expectations.
• Lead intake and prioritization of Finance AI/Data initiatives with leadership.
• Oversee operating model for Finance AI/Data delivery and cross-functional adoption.
• Build and develop the Finance AI and Data Governance team and collaboration norms.
• Partner with IT, Enterprise AI/Data, Security, and Finance leadership on architecture and governance.
• Foster a Finance AI community of practice and scalable learning resources.
• Collaborate with business leaders to apply AI to daily processes and process transformation.
• Measure adoption, productivity, quality, and risk across the AI/Data portfolio.
• Act as a trusted advisor translating portfolio outcomes to governance forums and investment decisions.

• Minimum 12 years of progressive leadership in Finance, FP&A, data/analytics, digital transformation, AI, or data governance
• Proven success in leading cross-functional enterprise programs and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, controls, and performance metrics
• Experience establishing data governance, semantic models, and analytics/AI solutions
• Ability to translate strategy into executable portfolio and operating model
• Experience leading organizational change and capability building in Finance
• Enterprise thinker linking data, technology, controls, and Finance outcomes
• Product-oriented with emphasis on user value and scalable capabilities
• Strong governance judgment balancing innovation with trust and control
• Clear executive communicator with ability to simplify AI/data concepts
• Ability to attract and retain talent and drive accountability
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks; enterprise AI/agentic solutions and responsible AI
