FP&A Manager, Engineering & Program Finance Business Partner

In this role you partner with Engineering and leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights that shape program execution. You will build and explain program-level forecasts, analyze gross margin drivers, and support long-range planning in a mission-driven, cross-functional environment. You'll work closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to improve forecast accuracy and optimize resource allocation. This is a high-visibility position centered on strategic finance for engineering programs with meaningful impact on execution and outcomes.

• Lead Engineering budgeting and forecasting processes (OPL, quarterly forecasts, monthly operational metrics)
• Own budget vs. actual reporting for Engineering and major programs with variance analyses and recommendations
• Partner with Program Managers to manage program budgets (labor, non-labor, capex) and funding profile reporting
• Develop detailed gross margin models incorporating contract terms, delivery costs, and performance trends
• Conduct scenario planning for revenue, resources, and project timelines
• Provide financial insights to Engineering leadership on long-term planning, contracts, and new opportunities
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages for Engineering, Program Management, and Executives highlighting risks and actions

• 6+ years of FP&A, Corporate Finance, or related roles
• experience supporting budgeting cycles, program financials, or engineering forecasting
• strong analytical skills and financial modeling capability
• experience with program budgets, labor planning, cost tracking, or gross margin modeling (preferred)
• ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
• proficiency with Excel; Salesforce, Power BI, or financial planning systems is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
