Director, Finance and Accounting Advisory Services

In this role, you will guide financial planning and reporting for diverse clients, shaping accounting policy and SEC compliance. You'll lead complex engagements with senior executives and private equity sponsors, driving high-quality, solution oriented work. You will mentor a CFO Advisory team, foster a growth minded culture, and contribute to Armanino's expansion in a hyper-growth environment. The role combines technical accounting leadership with client delivery and business development, offering strategic impact across finance projects.

• Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and pro-forma prep
• Provide technical expertise for US GAAP and SEC requirements, including research and client presentation
• Prepare external financial reports (10-K/10-Q/8-K, proxy statements) for clients and auditors
• Design and implement new accounting policies and procedures
• Improve month/quarter close process and reporting timelines
• Coordinate with external auditors and client decision-makers for audits
• Assist with cash-to-accrual accounting, opening balance sheet, and purchase accounting
• Oversee A+ client delivery and scale operational/technical accounting services
• Mentor and develop CFO Advisory team members and contribute to career reviews
• Build culture for scaling a hyper-growth consulting business
• Cultivate relationships with senior executives and private equity sponsors to generate new projects
• Support business development with sector-specific expertise
• Act as a market thought leader and drive growth
• Deliver client engagements with high quality and Armanino's A+ Execution standards
• Supervise project execution teams

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in client-serving roles at top-tier firms or equivalent private industry senior role
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Deep US GAAP knowledge with relevant topics (ASC 606, leases, purchase accounting); IFRS knowledge a plus
• Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, management, analytical, decision-making, and research skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholder dynamics
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset in a flat, fluid organization
