Stride Health Care Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our esteemed team of professionals. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while allowing you to make a significant impact on the mental well-being of our clients. You will work closely with individuals dealing with mood disorders in an outpatient setting, providing critical support and therapeutic services.

Work Environment

As a member of our team, you will be working remotely, offering you the flexibility to create a work environment that suits your needs while maintaining a work-life balance. Our practice operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to serve clients effectively while minimizing burnout. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, enabling tailored treatment interventions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and preferences, thereby fostering a sense of ownership in their recovery journey.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client challenges and promote resilience.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their mental health journey.
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, sharing insights and observations that contribute to the multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
• Stay current with new research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance the therapeutic approaches employed in your practice.
• Maintain meticulous records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and client trust.
• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to share expertise, foster teamwork, and stay informed about best practices in the field.
• Advocate for clients by promoting de-stigmatization of mood disorders and supporting their rights to mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. This diverse client population includes adolescents, adults, and families seeking assistance to navigate their mental health challenges. Your ability to foster therapeutic relationships will be essential in building rapport and trust, which are crucial for effective therapy.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the capacity to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for integrated care.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful connections with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly with clients who have mood disorders.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documenting client information and tracking progress.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment frameworks and an ability to implement new therapeutic techniques as appropriate.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
