Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide counseling services tailored to individuals, groups, and families. Approaches may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more, adapting styles to suit client needs.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including case managers and psychiatrists, to ensure a coordinated care approach that addresses all facets of a client's well-being.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress, including developing safety plans and connecting clients to emergency resources as needed.

Qualifications

• A master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build therapeutic relationships and establish rapport with clients.
• Effective organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.
• Cultural sensitivity and competence to effectively serve clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a community mental health setting, particularly working with vulnerable populations.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy platforms.
• Skills in multiple therapeutic modalities to address varied client needs.
