Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered rehabilitation in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will evaluate functional abilities, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions that maximize independence in self-care, mobility, and daily living activities. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document care in the EHR. Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and functional assessments for diverse adult rehab patients Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence and safety Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education Train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, and home safety Collaborate with physicians, nursing, PT, SLP, and case management on coordinated care plans Document assessments, treatments, and progress notes accurately in the EHR Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate DME and follow-up services Adhere to regulatory, safety, and professional practice standards Contribute to performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Support and mentor therapy staff or students as appropriate Patient assessment Developing treatment plans ADL retraining Neuromuscular re-education Therapeutic exercise Functional mobility training Splinting and positioning Interdisciplinary collaboration Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Discharge planning Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in state of practice Graduation from an accredited OT program NBCOT certification preferred/required Current BLS/CPR certification Experience in inpatient rehab or acute care preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
