RiverWoods Durham seeks a compassionate Security Officer for Friday overnight shifts to ensure a safe, secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include monitoring facility access, conducting safety rounds, responding to emergencies, and documenting incidents. You’ll collaborate closely with nursing and resident services teams to support a calm, respectful community. Ideal candidates are observant, reliable, and comfortable working independently overnight. Prior security, public safety, or first responder experience is helpful. We offer training, a supportive, mission-driven culture, and opportunities to grow within our senior living community. Monitor entrances, exits, and overall facility security during Friday overnight shifts Conduct regular interior and exterior safety rounds and report hazards or concerns Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and resident or staff calls for assistance Document incidents, safety checks, and unusual activity according to policy Collaborate with nursing and resident services during emergencies and drills Enforce community safety policies while maintaining a respectful, resident-centered approach Support emergency procedures including evacuations, medical emergencies, and fire alarms Provide courteous assistance to residents, visitors, and vendors during overnight hours Facility security monitoring Incident reporting and documentation Emergency response procedures Access control systems CCTV monitoring Conflict de-escalation Radio and communication equipment use Basic computer skills Report writing Customer service in healthcare or residential settings Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license CPR/First Aid certification preferred Prior security, law enforcement, or public safety experience preferred Ability to pass background and reference checks Knowledge of basic emergency response procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
