Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support our inpatient rehabilitation patients through safe, high-quality meal service. In this role, you will prepare, portion, and deliver meals according to dietitian and physician orders, including texture-modified and allergy-sensitive diets. Responsibilities include maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, operating dishwashing and kitchen equipment, stocking supplies, and collaborating with nursing and dietary staff. You’ll work in a patient-centered, team-focused environment that values compassion, safety, and continuous learning. Prepare, portion, and plate patient meals according to diet orders and hospital standards. Deliver meal trays to patient rooms and collect used trays in a timely, courteous manner. Follow nutrition, allergy, and texture-modified diet guidelines to ensure patient safety. Maintain sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and dishroom per infection-control policies. Label, store, and rotate food items following food safety regulations. Communicate with nursing and dietitians about patient meal needs or concerns. Operate dishwashing and food service equipment safely and correctly. Assist with inventory, stocking, and organization of dietary supplies. Document tasks as required by hospital and regulatory standards. Support a patient-centered, team-based environment focused on quality and safety.
