Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Music Teacher for our Store 6402 location. In this in-store role, you will deliver high-quality private and small-group lessons to students of all ages and skill levels while helping families select the right instruments and accessories. You’ll design engaging lesson plans, teach technique and music theory, track progress, and prepare students for recitals and school performances. Working closely with our sales and school service teams, you’ll support rentals and instrument purchases in a collaborative, student-focused retail environment that champions music education and community engagement. Provide individual and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in-store Develop lesson plans aligned with student goals and school or program requirements Demonstrate and teach proper instrument technique, music theory, and performance skills Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians Support retail sales by recommending appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials Assist with instrument rentals, returns, and basic troubleshooting for customers Collaborate with store staff and school service reps to support local music programs Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances Maintain a clean, organized, student-friendly teaching studio space Uphold Music & Arts’ student-focused, inclusive, and community-oriented culture Music instruction Instrument proficiency Lesson planning Music theory Performance coaching Student assessment Classroom management Customer service Sales support Communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Degree in Music Education, Performance, or related field preferred State teaching credential or music education certification preferred Proficiency on primary teaching instrument(s) Background in music theory and ear training Experience preparing students for recitals, juries, or auditions Comfort working in a retail or customer-facing environment Ability to pass background check for work with minors5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
