As a Pharmacy Tech at Encompass Health, you’ll support our inpatient rehabilitation team by accurately preparing medications, managing inventory, and assisting the pharmacist in daily operations. You will process medication orders, restock automated dispensing systems, maintain accurate records, and uphold strict safety and regulatory standards. Working closely with nurses, therapists, and pharmacists, you’ll help ensure timely, safe medication access, directly supporting patient recovery while developing your skills in a collaborative, clinically advanced environment. Prepare and label medications under pharmacist supervision Process and fill medication orders accurately and timely Manage pharmacy inventory, ordering, and restocking supplies Maintain automated dispensing systems and medication storage areas Support sterile and non-sterile compounding as applicable Document activities in pharmacy systems and EHR accurately Ensure compliance with medication safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and rehab team on medication needs Assist with medication reconciliation and returns as directed Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives Medication preparation and dispensing Pharmacy inventory management Knowledge of generic/brand medications Dosage calculations Use of pharmacy information systems Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Sterile and non-sterile compounding (per site requirements) Order entry and verification support Medication safety and quality control Communication with clinical teams Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred or required per state State pharmacy technician registration/licensure as applicable Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy information systems5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
