ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a compassionate Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide consistent instruction and student support during an extended classroom assignment. Follow established lesson plans and adapt activities to meet students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom; encourage participation and positive behavior; and monitor student progress. Collaborate with school staff and relevant support professionals to maintain continuity of care and learning, communicate concerns, and complete classroom documentation. Candidates should bring sound judgment, flexibility, and a commitment to helping children and young adults with learning and behavioral challenges thrive. Substitute authorization and required background clearances must meet applicable district and state requirements. Deliver instruction using lesson plans and curriculum provided by the school. Adapt classroom activities to students’ learning needs and abilities. Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Support positive behavior and students’ social-emotional development. Monitor student participation and progress, and share relevant observations with school staff. Collaborate with teachers and support professionals to ensure continuity of student services. Complete required classroom records and documentation.
