ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy & Education is seeking a long-term Substitute Teacher to support children and young adults with behavioral and learning challenges. Provide classroom instruction using established lesson plans, adapt activities to student needs, maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, and support academic, social, and behavioral goals. Monitor and document student progress, use appropriate behavior-support and de-escalation strategies, and collaborate with teachers, specialists, school staff, and families. This mission-driven role offers the opportunity to contribute to evidence-based, interdisciplinary services that help students build skills and achieve meaningful outcomes. Assignment requirements and duration vary by school district. Deliver classroom instruction and implement lesson plans during the teacher’s absence. Adapt instruction and learning activities to students’ abilities and needs. Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral goals using appropriate strategies. Monitor student participation and progress, and complete required documentation. Collaborate with school staff, specialists, and families as appropriate.
