City Year is seeking a Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth in partner public schools. In this full-time role, you will provide daily in-class and small-group support, mentoring, and tutoring to a caseload of students, helping them set and reach goals in attendance, behavior, and coursework. Working as part of a diverse City Year AmeriCorps team, you’ll collaborate with teachers, track student data, facilitate enrichment activities, and model equity-focused practices. City Year offers robust training, leadership development, and a collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on student success. Provide daily in-school mentoring and academic support to a caseload of students. Support classroom instruction through small-group tutoring and one-on-one coaching. Track student attendance, behavior, and academic data to monitor progress. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and AmeriCorps teammates to align supports. Facilitate social-emotional learning activities and enrichment programs. Communicate with families and caregivers to support student success. Model inclusive, culturally responsive practices and a growth mindset. Participate in ongoing training, reflection, and leadership development. Support school-wide events, interventions, and service projects.
