Hartford HealthCare seeks an intensivist with a strong cardiac focus or a cardiologist with critical care experience or training to join the cardiac ICU team at Hartford Hospital. Care for complex cardiovascular patients, including those requiring pre- and postoperative care, transplant and VAD support, ECMO, and treatment for cardiogenic shock. Perform procedures and support education for trainees and advanced practitioners. Provide critical care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease. Manage pre- and postoperative cardiac patients, including heart transplant and VAD cases. Provide care involving ECMO, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and cardiogenic shock. Participate in the hospital’s ECMO program and related leadership opportunities as appropriate. Perform chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, and emergent intubations. Educate advanced practitioners, fellows, residents, and interns.
