Jobot seeks a Professional Liability Defense Attorney to handle complex professional malpractice and errors & omissions matters for clients in the professional, scientific, and technical sectors. In this role, you will manage cases from inception through resolution, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial or settlement. You will collaborate with a tech-forward, supportive team that values high performance, transparency, and innovation while leveraging modern tools to drive results for clients nationwide. Defend professional liability cases from intake through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation Conduct factual and legal research, analyze complex records, and develop case strategy aligned with client goals Draft high-quality briefs, dispositive motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses in professional liability matters Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials as needed Collaborate closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to provide timely case updates and risk assessments Evaluate liability and damages exposure and advise on settlement, mediation, and trial strategies Supervise and mentor junior attorneys or staff on research, drafting, and file management Manage deadlines, caseload priorities, and billing in accordance with firm and client guidelines Stay current on developments in professional liability, malpractice, and insurance defense law Civil litigation Professional liability defense Legal research and writing Deposition practice Motion practice Trial preparation Insurance defense Case and docket management Client counseling Negotiation and mediation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in relevant state bar Prior experience in professional liability, malpractice, or insurance defense5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
