Leads the facility’s sanitation and microbiology programs by overseeing master sanitation requirements, collecting and analyzing microbiological samples, maintaining laboratory procedures and equipment, and reporting results. Supports food safety and quality systems, audits, corrective actions, and staff training. Oversee completion of Master Sanitation Program requirements and inspect assigned areas. Review sanitation records and cleaning processes to identify microbiological risks and gaps. Collect, prepare, plate, incubate, read, and report microbiological samples. Lead corrective actions and report sanitation and microbiology results to management. Maintain laboratory SOPs, safety manuals, supplies, and applicable QA equipment. Train QA and other employees in sanitation, microbiological analysis, and aseptic techniques.
