Amergis seeks compassionate Substitute Teachers to support students in school-based healthcare and social assistance settings. In this role, you deliver lesson plans, manage classrooms, and support IEP and behavioral goals while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment. You collaborate with school staff, clinicians, and families to reinforce academic, social, and emotional progress. Amergis provides training, ongoing support, and exposure to diverse school and community care settings, offering opportunities to grow your education and behavioral health skills while serving diverse student populations with integrity and professionalism. Provide classroom instruction following teacher-provided lesson plans and school policies. Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment for diverse learners. Support students with IEPs and behavioral plans in collaboration with school teams. Monitor student behavior, apply de-escalation strategies, and reinforce positive conduct. Take attendance, supervise students during transitions and breaks, and ensure safety. Communicate relevant student updates to school staff and Amergis coordinators. Document services and incidents in accordance with school and Amergis guidelines. Use basic educational technology and school platforms as needed for instruction. Adapt instructional approaches to meet varied academic and social-emotional needs. Participate in required training and adhere to Amergis and school compliance standards.
