Encompass Health seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services to adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions, and complex medical events. In this role, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and lead evidence-based interventions to improve patients’ safety, independence, and quality of life. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document care accurately. Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve function, safety, and independence Provide ADL, functional mobility, and cognitive-perceptual training Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team on coordinated care plans Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and equipment use Accurately document assessments, goals, progress notes, and discharge plans in EMR Contribute to care conferences and discharge planning for safe transitions Supervise and mentor therapy assistants or students as appropriate Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards Participate in professional development, specialty training, and quality initiatives at Encompass Health.
