CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman to install and support refrigeration and mechanical piping systems for commercial and industrial customers. In this field-based role, you will read blueprints, lay out and install piping, perform brazing, pressure testing, and leak detection, and assist with system startup and commissioning. You’ll work on diverse, energy-efficient projects while following strict safety and code standards. Install, fit, and support HVAC/R piping and refrigeration lines on commercial and industrial projects. Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and piping diagrams to plan layout and installation. Perform brazing, soldering, pressure testing, and leak detection on refrigeration systems. Assist with system startup, commissioning, and verification of safe, efficient operation. Follow CoolSys safety standards, OSHA regulations, and local mechanical codes. Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and technicians to meet schedule and quality goals. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, orderly condition. Document work performed and communicate job status and issues to supervisors and customers.
