HumanGood community seeks a Director, Buildings and Grounds to lead all facilities operations for our senior living community. In this on-site role, you will oversee building systems, grounds, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, attractive, and compliant environment for residents and team members. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, coordinating vendors and capital projects, managing budgets, and upholding safety and regulatory standards. You’ll collaborate closely with operations and care leaders in a mission-driven, resident-focused setting, making a direct impact on the quality of life for older adults while growing your facilities leadership career. Oversee daily operations of all buildings, grounds, and building systems for the senior living community. Lead, schedule, and develop the maintenance and grounds team, fostering a safety- and service-focused culture. Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and longevity of equipment and infrastructure. Manage vendor and contractor relationships, bids, and contracts for repairs, inspections, and capital projects. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, monitoring expenses and recommending cost-effective solutions. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, life-safety, and building codes and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and support emergency preparedness, response, and building systems testing. Partner with operations, nursing, and hospitality leaders to address facility needs that impact resident experience. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders using CMMS or related systems. Identify and lead facility improvement initiatives to enhance resident comfort, safety, and community appearance.
