Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Charge Audit Analyst to support accurate, compliant billing across our integrated care network. In this role, you will perform detailed audits of clinical charges, validate coding and documentation, and identify revenue and compliance risks. You will collaborate with clinicians, coders, and revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies, educate stakeholders, and recommend process improvements. This position supports Wellstar’s mission of patient-centered, community-based care through data-driven, high-quality revenue integrity practices. Perform detailed clinical charge audits for inpatient and outpatient encounters to ensure accurate coding and billing Identify charge capture gaps, errors, and trends impacting revenue integrity and compliance Collaborate with clinicians, coders, and revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrections Interpret clinical documentation, coding guidelines, and payer rules to validate charges Prepare audit reports, metrics, and recommendations for process improvements Educate clinical and billing staff on audit findings and best practices for accurate charge capture Support compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations and internal policies Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance audit workflows and revenue outcomes Clinical charge auditing Medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) Revenue cycle management Charge capture analysis Healthcare billing compliance EMR/EHR systems Data analysis and reporting Payer rules and reimbursement Microsoft Excel and audit tools Clinical documentation review Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent (e.g., CCS, CCS-P) preferred Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer rules Experience with EMR/EHR and billing systems in a hospital setting5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
