Pape Material Handling Inc is seeking a Rental Territory Manager to grow our rental business within an assigned territory. In this role, you’ll build and manage relationships with industrial and warehouse customers, assess their material handling needs, and provide tailored forklift and equipment rental solutions. You will drive territory sales activity from prospecting to closing, coordinate with operations and service teams to ensure timely deliveries and safe, reliable equipment, and monitor fleet utilization. This position offers long-term career growth, ongoing training, and the chance to support customers’ critical operations across diverse industries. Grow rental revenue and market share within an assigned territory for material handling equipment Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing rental customers across multiple industries Conduct on-site customer visits to assess needs and recommend appropriate rental solutions Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and close rental agreements in line with company guidelines Coordinate with operations, service, and parts teams to ensure timely equipment delivery and high uptime Monitor fleet utilization and demand trends to help optimize rental inventory mix Track activities and opportunities in CRM and provide accurate sales forecasts and territory reports Resolve customer issues promptly while upholding safety, quality, and customer-first standards Represent Pape Material Handling at customer events, trade shows, and industry functions Continuously build product and technical knowledge through training and field experience Territory sales management B2B equipment rental sales Customer relationship management Material handling equipment knowledge Needs assessment and solution selling Quote preparation and contract negotiation CRM software proficiency Forecasting and reporting Fleet utilization and planning Safety and compliance awareness Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Experience with material handling, construction, or heavy equipment rental preferred Familiarity with CRM tools and basic sales processes OSHA and safety training related to industrial equipment a plus5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
