Role Number: 200682401Team: Corporate Functions, Software and ServicesLocation: Austin; SunnyvalePosted: 2026-10-12SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Finance Data and AI Engineering initiatives, building scalable, high-performance financial data systems that power reporting, analytics, and AI-driven transformation.This role is execution-focused: leading a team of engineers to build, optimize, and modernize financial data systems that directly support Finance's business operations and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep data engineering expertise, solid software engineering fundamentals, and strong collaboration with Finance stakeholders.DescriptionYou will be responsible for designing and delivering robust financial data solutions across modern data platforms — including cloud data environments and enterprise databases such as SAP HANA — while applying strong software engineering principles to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent8–12 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering5+ years of engineering management experienceStrong experience in: Data modeling and transformation, Distributed data platforms or enterprise databases, Software engineering best practicesExperience developing strategies for data preparation and feature engineering to support large-scale AI and Machine Learning initiativesPreferred QualificationsExperience driving the implementation of data governance and quality standardsStrong stakeholder management skills in Finance or enterprise functionsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $206,200 and $356,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
