Encompass Health, a national leader in post-acute care, is seeking a Texas-licensed Inpatient Rehab PTA to support patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, complex orthopedic conditions, and other serious illnesses. In this role, you will provide evidence-based therapy interventions under the supervision of a PT, implement individualized treatment plans, and educate patients and families to promote safe, functional independence. You’ll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team in a mission-driven, patient-centered environment that values clinical excellence, professional growth, and work–life balance. Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed PT in an inpatient rehab setting Assist with patient evaluations by performing delegated tests and measures and reporting findings to the PT Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence Instruct patients and families in safe mobility techniques, home programs, and use of assistive devices Monitor patient progress, tolerance, and safety, updating the care team and recommending treatment adjustments Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and outcomes in the electronic medical record Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team including nurses, OTs, SLPs, and physicians Ensure compliance with Texas state PTA licensure requirements, ethical standards, and hospital policies Participate in team conferences, in-service education, and quality improvement initiatives Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and properly handle equipment and infection control procedures Inpatient rehabilitation therapy Therapeutic exercise techniques Neurologic rehabilitation interventions Orthopedic rehabilitation interventions Gait training and mobility training Functional transfer training Patient and family education Electronic medical record documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Infection control and safety procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program BLS/CPR certification Experience in neurologic or orthopedic rehabilitation preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
