Encompass Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will evaluate patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions, and other complex illnesses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans to restore function and independence. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, provide patient and family education, and document progress in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards. Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for inpatient rehabilitation patients Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to improve function and independence Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies Accurately document assessments, goals, treatments, and progress in the medical record Participate in team conferences and discharge planning to support optimal patient outcomes Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and hospital standards of care and documentation Contribute to quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Neurologic rehabilitation Orthopedic rehabilitation Activity of daily living (ADL) training Functional mobility and transfer training Splinting and adaptive equipment training Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration Clinical documentation and EMR use Patient and family education Regulatory and reimbursement knowledge (inpatient rehab/acute) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist OTR/L or eligible for national certification from NBCOT BLS/CPR certification Experience in inpatient rehab or acute care preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
