Finance Associate

Our client, one of the most prestigious global law firms, is seeking a Finance Associate for its market-leading acquisition finance team in Los Angeles or New York. Led by one of the country’s most recognized finance partners, the group handles some of the largest and most complex financings for top private equity sponsors.

• Base salary of $235,000 to $390,000, depending on class year, plus market year-end and special bonuses not tied to billable hours.

• Representing private equity sponsors in leveraged buyouts, take-privates, carve-outs, and add-on acquisitions
• Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, commitment papers, and related financing documents
• Handling large-cap syndicated financings, middle-market private credit deals, and some capital markets work
• Working across unitranche, direct lending, first-lien and second-lien, asset-based, and recurring-revenue facilities
• Building in-demand experience in liability management, recapitalizations, and complex refinancings
• Serving West Coast and New York clients across a wide range of industries

• 2 to 6 years of acquisition finance or debt finance experience, ideally representing sponsors and borrowers
• Currently practicing at a leading AmLaw firm
• Admitted in California or New York (relocating candidates do not need California admission before starting)
• If based in New York, able to work in Los Angeles at least once a quarter, usually for a full week
• Strong academic credentials and a desire to grow with a close-knit, high-performing team
