Finance Associate

Our client, a leading Am Law firm, is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Finance & Transactions practice in New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for an associate with 2–6 years of commercial finance experience to join a sophisticated and collaborative practice. The successful candidate will work on complex commercial lending transactions, draft and negotiate loan documentation, and manage financing matters while working closely with experienced attorneys and institutional clients.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in a broad range of commercial finance and lending transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, security agreements, and related financing documentation.
• Manage loan transactions from initial structuring through closing.
• Conduct due diligence and coordinate transaction documentation and closing processes.
• Advise clients on commercial lending matters and related financing arrangements.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the Finance & Transactions practice on sophisticated matters.
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and client service.
• Participate in client-facing activities and business development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 2–6 years of relevant commercial finance experience at a law firm.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating loan documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage commercial lending transactions.
• Experience handling multiple matters and competing deadlines effectively.
• Excellent academic credentials and a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Strong organizational, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a sophisticated transactional practice.
• Licensed and in good standing in New York.
• Base salary of $235,000–$360,000, depending on experience and other relevant factors.
