Trillium is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Pittsburgh!

This Direct-Hire opportunity is seeking a current Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) with experience in HVAC system design.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in office and 2 days per week at home.

Salary ranges are:
EIT: $120,000 - $140,000 annually depending on experience
PE: $140,000 - $160,000 annually depending on experience

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical designs for a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through completion while partnering with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities:
Design heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for a variety of projects
Perform cooling and heating load calculations using industry-standard software
Size and select HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, AHUs, fans, pumps, ductwork, and piping systems
Prepare, review, and edit project specifications and technical documentation
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and construction documents
Utilize engineering design software and drafting platforms to support project development
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, clients, and contractors throughout project lifecycles

Qualifications:
Current Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
Professional experience with mechanical engineering
Experience inHVAC design
