Encompass Health seeks a Lead Therapist to oversee interdisciplinary rehab therapy services within our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. In this leadership role, you will coordinate physical, occupational, and speech therapy care plans, mentor and guide clinical staff, and ensure evidence-based, patient-centered treatment that maximizes functional recovery and safe discharge. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and case managers, monitor outcomes and quality metrics, and support program development. Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary rehabilitation therapy services for assigned patient caseloads. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Provide direct therapy services (PT/OT/SLP discipline as licensed) to patients in an inpatient rehab setting. Supervise, mentor, and coach therapy staff, assistants, and students. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to support safe, timely discharge planning. Monitor clinical outcomes, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance. Participate in program development, performance improvement, and best-practice initiatives. Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home programs, and safety. Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment and resources. Support orientation and ongoing training of therapy team members.
