Lead editorial strategy and daily content for a portfolio of Jewish community publications. Guide coverage, edit and fact-check stories, manage and mentor reporters and editors, grow digital engagement, and build relationships with community leaders and readers. This role is based in the Columbia, Maryland office and requires occasional evening and weekend work. Guide reporters in developing enterprise stories, breaking news coverage, and local exclusives. Plan editorial coverage, assign stories, and monitor community and digital sources for emerging story ideas. Communicate with sources, community leaders, readers, and public officials. Oversee editing and fact-checking to ensure adherence to AP Style and company standards. Lead, mentor, and develop reporters and editors while setting clear editorial expectations.
