Encompass Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients through their rehabilitation journey in an inpatient setting. In this role, you’ll implement therapy plans designed by physical therapists, lead patients through exercises and mobility training, and track progress to help them regain strength, function, and independence. Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities to improve strength and independence Monitor patient progress, document treatments accurately, and report changes to the supervising physical therapist Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and use of assistive devices Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized rehab environment Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including nurses and physicians, to coordinate comprehensive rehab care Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and ethical guidelines to support high-quality patient outcomes Support orientation of new staff or students by demonstrating treatment techniques and best practices Therapeutic exercise implementation Gait and mobility training Patient transfer and safe handling techniques Rehabilitation documentation and EMR use Knowledge of orthopedic and neurologic rehab principles Use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment Patient and family education Vital sign monitoring during therapy Infection control and safety protocols Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
